1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Recument ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Recument is an AI-powered document generation service that helps users create formatted documents from raw data and templates. The Service allows users to upload templates, raw data files, and generate formatted documents in various formats including DOCX and PDF.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Payment

The Service is offered on a subscription basis with monthly and annual payment options. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees associated with your chosen plan.

• Monthly Plan: $30 per month, billed monthly
• Annual Plan: $240 per year (equivalent to $20 per month), billed annually

All fees are processed through Paddle, our payment processor. You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees due.

5. Free Trial

We offer a 7-day free trial for new users. During the trial period, you have full access to the Service. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged according to your selected plan.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us at danielshliakhetko@gmail.com. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to the Service until the end of the period you have already paid for.

7. Refund Policy

We offer refunds under the following circumstances:

• Within 14 days of purchase: If you are not satisfied with the Service, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial subscription payment.
• Technical issues: If you experience technical issues that prevent you from using the Service and we are unable to resolve them, you may be eligible for a refund.
• Billing errors: If you are charged incorrectly due to our error, we will issue a full refund.

To request a refund, please contact us at danielshliakhetko@gmail.com with your account information and reason for the refund request. Refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days and will be issued to the original payment method.

Note: Refunds are not available for partial billing periods. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will retain access until the end of your paid period but will not receive a prorated refund.

8. User Obligations

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not upload any content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third-party rights
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• Not use the Service to generate content that violates academic integrity policies
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Danylo Shliakhetko and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you upload or generate using the Service, but grant us a license to use such content to provide and improve the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your specific requirements. We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

13. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.
